Gallery Introduction
The project focuses on exploring the relationship between "Mother" and "Child" when experiencing a "Come Out" event, with a focus on the experiences of the LGBTQ community in Asian society. Through the use of photography, the project presents five different perspectives on this relationship, each one exploring a different aspect of the experiences of the "Child" and how they are perceived by the "Mother". The first brief, "Mother", portrays the "Mother" in a domestic setting, emphasizing the sterotype of a "Mother". The second brief, "Fallen", shows a window with a glimpse of the outside world and introduces the idea of the "outer ego of Child". The third brief, "Hide", presents a self-portrait that challenges the societal stereotype of the LGBTQ community and alters the meaning of the project. The fourth brief, "Exposed" and "Enlighten", presents two portraits of the "outer ego of Child", exploring the idea of sexual enlightenment and the complexities of coming out. Finally, the fifth brief, "Child", concludes the project by showing the actual face of the "Child" and serves as a reminder that "Kids never change in their parents' eyes". The project as a whole seeks to raise awareness of the challenges faced by the LGBTQ community and to offer comfort and support to those facing similar experiences.

Gallery Introduction
Entitled "Veiled Gaze, Revealed Selves," this photographic series presented at the interim show is a deliberate interplay of visibility and concealment, touching on themes of queer politics and erotic illusion. Each piece captures the essence of nudity while strategically covering sensitive areas with reflective tape, creating a tantalizing dance of hide-and-seek with the viewer's gaze. The use of high saturation and bright colours heightens the emotional intensity of the images, while the unconventional lighting casts otherworldly shadows, deepening the sense of mystery and allure.
The reflective nature of the tape does more than obscure; it serves as a mirror to the societal pressures and norms that often dictate the expression of queer identities. The eyes, windows to the soul, are shielded from view, an embodiment of the private struggle against public scrutiny. The covered sensitive body parts, on the other hand, represent the often-redacted narratives of queer lives-what is deemed too provocative or personal for the public eye.
Together, the pieces form a narrative that is both intimate and universal, a reflection on the act of revealing and the power of what is left unseen. This series dares viewers to question their perceptions of nudity, eroticism, and identity, and to find the connections that bind the exposed and hidden parts of ourselves in the tapestry of queer existence.

This project intricately weaves the personal and societal dimensions of queerness, specifically focusing on the challenges and vulnerabilities of expressing one's true self in public spaces. It expands to consider the nuanced decisions individuals make about where and how to present their authentic selves, acknowledging the significant role that private spaces play in this self-expression. The project recognizes that, for many, the comfort and security of home or indoor environments become the primary stages for unveiling their identities, away from the potentially harsh judgments of the outside world.
Additionally, the narrative thoughtfully opens a dialogue on the concept of nudity in natural settings, acknowledging its place within the spectrum of self-expression. This acknowledgment brings to light the diverse motivations behind seeking visibility, from the quest for personal freedom and authenticity to the exploration of specific desires, such as the fetishization of nudity in nature. By doing so, the project paints a broader picture of the queer experience, embracing not only the struggles and fears associated with public visibility but also the complex interplay of personal desires, societal norms, and the spaces where individuals feel safest to express themselves.
This multifaceted exploration serves as a powerful statement on the ongoing battle for acceptance and the right to live openly and authentically, whether in the privacy of one's home, in designated safe spaces, or in the vastness of the natural world. It is a testament to the courage of those who navigate these paths, and a reflection on society's role in shaping the spaces where self-expression is possible, celebrated, or concealed.

Gallery Introduction
Sometimes, covert observation can be quite contradictory; it may be viewed negatively by the people being observed, who may not appreciate it. Simultaneously, it can be a positive practice when a photographer aims to capture candid moments.
In addition to London, last summer, I visited many places, including Amsterdam, Switzerland, Macau, Taiwan, and Perth. I have always been keen on details and enjoy observing people without their knowledge, making them seem like NPCs in video games. It's fun to do this because sometimes you can capture lovely moments, and the composition and outcome of the images are always natural and satisfying.
When I took these photographs, I employed various angles and composition scales to satisfy my desire for diversity in my images, which also gives the black and white images a certain vibrancy.
Throughout this gallery, you will play the role of "the observer," scanning the scenes in the images and focusing on the details, similar to playing a black and white version of "Where's Wally." It will be more interesting to do this with your friends and family and share what you discover in the images.
